Here I go again on my own.
Kaleigh’s preschool and Awana graduation was yesterday. At Awana, it was just Kaleigh, Hayden, and myself. We had to bring a finger food to both and at preschool my dad and stepmom and grandma were all there to help with Hayden. Not saying he is hard to handle but it’s just eaisier with two kids to have help. So at Awana I had to wait until everyone was almost through the line before I could go up and get me and Kaleigh some food. Just because I didn’t want to leave Ka there at the table with hayden for 15 minutes or so by herself. We could have all went up there in line but I am not carrying a baby two plates with food plus drinks..No that’s crazy. So I went and got in line to get food and left Ka at the table with Hayden. I was standing in line and I looked at them and Ka looked at me and just smiled. I got the sense that she just wanted me to see how good of a big sister she was. Then I just started thinking about being a single mom and how Kaleigh has had to adapt to situations. Just simple situations like that. It is not a big deal really but it just made me feel so blessed and proud. Proud to just have my life. It is hard being a single mom but I don’t use that as an excuse. It is what it is. I’m just proud and blessed.
