Conversations with Kaleigh.

Me: Kaleigh we need to change your earrings.

Kaleigh: (starts crying) But it’s gonna hurt, I don’t want them to be changed right now.

Me: Kaleigh come over here. It is gonna be ok. I promise it won’t hurt.

Kaleigh: (still crying) Yes it will.

Me: I will pay you a dollar if you let me change them.

Kaleigh: (stops crying the instant I say pay) Make it two and it’s a deal.

Me: Ok. I will pay you two dollars, one for each ear.

Kaleigh: I will go get the earrings and my wallet.

My sister started this whole paying her a dollar thing. Thanks Britt. Thanks. But if it works it works. Needless to say we got the earings changed out and she never once cried because it hurt.
